Mingyu made a striking appearance at the SIMMONS Gallery Seongsu in Seoul on September 3, attending the opening event for the brand’s Beautyrest BLACK pop-up.
Mingyu looked effortlessly handsome in his sleek black outfit and sunglasses, but it was his freshly buzz-cut hair that stole the spotlight. The adorable new look marks his shortest hairstyle yet, giving fans a sweet surprise ahead of his upcoming military service.
Even with his hair cut short, Mingyu’s signature charm and visuals remained as captivating as ever! Right? 😉

The CxM [DOUBLE UP] LIVE PARTY Digital Code (DC), featuring SEVENTEEN’s S.Coups and Mingyu, will officially be released on September 10, 2026, with pre-orders beginning August 26.

PLEDIS Entertainment has released its final notice regarding the enlistment dates of the SEVENTEEN members. According to the announcement, MINGYU will begin his mandatory military service on September 10, 2026.
MINGYU will begin his military service on September 10. He will also participate in all official activities prior to the start of his service. There will be no official event on the day his service begins, or on the day he subsequently reports to the training center. We respectfully request that you refrain from visiting the place of his alternative service.
Mingyu will be enlisting as a public service worker and is expected to be discharged on June 9, 2028.
